The Bard's Song - In The Forest
By Blind Guardian from the album "Somewhere Far Beyond"

Guitar Tablature

This is an adapted version for playing alone. I think it's pretty good,
though there can be some errors in it. I used other tabs as guidelines.

Tune down 1/2 a step and listen to the song for rhythm.

D------2---0---2---0-|---2---2---0---0-----2---2-----
A----3---2---0---2---|-3-------2-------2-0--------0--
E--------------------|-------------------------------
 ... sing . . .

For the chorus I play an arpeggio jumping between Am and G. For example:

   Am G
E--0-----3--------
B----1-----3------
G------2----------
D------------0----
A--0-----------2--
E--------3--------
   Tomorrow will . . .

But you can change some of the notes.

   Am G Am G
Tomorrow will take us away
Am G
Far from home

   Am F
E--0---------------------------1-
B----1-------1------3------------
G--------2-----4-----------------
D------2---3------5---7----7-----
A--0---------------------7---7---
E--------1-----3------5----------
   Noone ever know names

Am F G Am
Noone will ever know our names
        F G Am
But the bard's song will remain | Here remain and tomorrow join so the
Am G Am G | Am of remain is the same of tomorrow
Tomorrow will take it away
    Am G
The fear of today

Then the first time it ends like this:

   Am F
E--0------------------------------
B----1----------------------------
G--------2------------------------
D------2---3-----3----3-0-3-------
A--0---------2-----2--------3-2-0-
E--------1-----1------------------
   It gone due . . .

Am F
It will be gone

Now the solo is a problem because they use two guitars.

I don't know the first part but the second part goes:

E-------0--------------0------------0---3-1-0-1---1-5-3--
B-1-0-1---0-----------3-1-0-1-0-1-3---3---------3--------
G-----------0---0-2-0------------------------------------
D-------------3------------------------------------------
A--------------------------------------------------------
E--------------------------------------------------------

Then it's all the same again.

The end of the second chorus is a bit different:

   Am F G C
E--0------------------|-----------
B----1-------1------3-|-----------
G--------2-----4------|-----------
D------2---3------5---|-----------
A--0------------------|3----------
E--------1-----3------|-----------
         cause . . . remain . . .

And then the final part is this sequence

                            second Am part
E------------------0-----|-------------------
B-----1-----1----1---1---|-----1-0-1-0-------
G----------------------2-|-------------2-----
D---2-----0-----0--------|---0-------------2-
A-3-----2-----0----------|-0-----------------
E------------------------|-------------------
remain . . .

           F G C G Am
"Cause the bards" songs will rema - a - ain
     C G Am
They all will remain

C G Am
In my thoughts and in my dreams
        C G Am
They're always in my mind
      C G Am
These songs of hobbits, dwarves and men
    C
And elves
     G Am
Come close your eyes
        C G Em
You can see them too
